Bodelwyddan Castle First World War training trenches!

Bodelwyddan Castle is situated in Denbighshire, North Wales. Set in 260 acres of magnificent parkland.
The Castle has within its grounds a reminder of the Great War years. Training was an important activity during the First World War (1914-1918). It helped to prepare newly recruited soldiers many of whom had never considered the intricacies of 'modern' warfare.
The local training camp for the area was Kinmel Park Camp, which is located not too far from the Castle.
A set of interpretive panels is going to be created to provide information on what it was like to be a soldier living, fighting and dying in the trenches and illustrations of how the trenches were constructed.

Wendy Gill Pottery

A wonderful ceramic selling exhibition, all hand-made on the potter's wheel in North Wales. This is a welcome return for Wendy who this year has been inspired by the Greek Minoan pottery and her new work is stunning.
The exhibition will start at the end of March and will carry on until 14th April. Definitely worth a visit for those who are passionate about the so British pottery tradition.
