Where we are

Conlan School is the English language school in Abergele (Wales) and Chester (England).

Our centres

Our head offices are located in Hesketh House, a Victorian building going back to 1880. The building has always had particular importance for the local community of Abergele as it was once the “Coach and Horses Resting Inn” a meeting point for the people who traveled far and wide to visit the town’s once famous market. Nowadays, Hesketh House has again become a popular meeting point thanks to the welcoming Bistro, internet point and Abergele Youth Action centre which can all be found on the lower floor.

Our Chester centre, Bowman House, is located a few steps away from the Shropshire Union Canal, an important relic of that time, and one that is said to have been the home of the owners of the steam mills of the time. Bowman House dates back to the Georgian period and is located in an ideal position, only 5 minutes on foot away from Chester's historical centre, the famous Eastgate Clock, the Roman walls and Grosvenor park. Bowman House thus offer the perfect venue for learning, with wide and bright classrooms and modern furnishing, in a historical and prestigious town.
